Years of service. A mission built to grow.

CharisWorks grew from years of personally funded outreach led by Manny Perozo and his mother, Mercedes. Before CharisWorks was formally established, they were already helping individuals and communities in need and working alongside churches in both the United States and the Dominican Republic.

In 2026, CharisWorks was formally established as a Washington nonprofit corporation to provide a foundation for expanding that work, developing partnerships, and reaching more people through compassionate service.

Our roots matter. We believe trust is earned through consistent service, responsible stewardship, honest communication, and respect for the dignity of every person.

Our Roots

Service that predates the organization.

The work that inspired CharisWorks began before formal incorporation. Through personally funded outreach and relationships with churches in the United States and the Dominican Republic, Manny and Mercedes developed a tradition of responding to needs through practical, faith-centered service.

CharisWorks was established to give that tradition a lasting organizational foundation and create opportunities to serve more people responsibly.

Manny established CharisWorks to formalize and expand a tradition of service undertaken alongside his mother, Mercedes, and through relationships with churches and communities in the United States and the Dominican Republic.

Organizational Status

Committed to responsible growth.

CharisWorks is a Washington nonprofit corporation established in 2026. We are strengthening our organizational structure, partnerships, and capacity to support the mission responsibly.

Tax status: Federal tax-exempt recognition under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) has not yet been obtained. CharisWorks does not currently represent contributions as tax-deductible charitable donations.
